The Unemployment Movement
A Right, Not Charity!
We the unemployed are not Criminals, Deviants or Lazy. We are Unemployed through Party Politics & Poor Governance and through Economic conditions brought about by Bankers/Financiers’ which have repeatedly put us in this position and impoverished us.
Here Again! Another recession (?), another round to blame and shame the unemployed..... While green shoots appear and disappear just as quick, we all know the crass and inevitable lines the newspapers are going to come out with to vilify the unemployed and hot on their heels will be the political bureaucrats ready to roll out the `New` training scheme and the whip of public opinion remonstrating how `They` are being undermined by the `Benefits` system.
This incredulous and insane reaction in the mist of this `Depression` is akin to a head in the sand as day after day we hear of layoffs and redundancies, shorting working hours and work holidays; all based on the idea that `One Day` all will be put to right without to much pain. The followers of this doctrine hold on to ideas imparted to them by an elite hanging onto power and their brethren the unions that have sold out to the neoliberal vision like pimps sell the illusion of better times and push the status quo of `middle income` earners forever enjoying special treatment of which they have become.
Here we the dispossessed, angry, surviving victims of the abuse, discrimination and violence of an economic system that continually strips us of any claim to a decent life, food, clothing and shelter without `Conditions` amounting to slavery cannot wait for `Better Days!` We will not wait for another 25 years for the recovery while having our dignity stripped from us as the welfare reform regime pummels our families into poverty and strips us of any rights or choice.
The Unemployment Movement Website is a “Voice on the Net with its Heart on the Streets” and its goal is first to bring all those that want a change under a National Campaign Organisation. Standing together we can take the war on the underclass onto the streets, to take back what the liberal classes have stripped from us.
Just how I hear the howls of derision and those hopeless souls that now ask what leverage any powerless grouping can have while an army of bureaucrats stand ready to sanction and a police force all to ready to stamp on dissent. The fight against slavery and emancipation suffered such fools; ignorantly even those through their silence even legitimatise such injustices and cowardly kneel at their masters sides.
There is NO omission here that says that our goals will not be hard on individuals, the reality check thou is which `HELL DO YOU WANT TO LIVE IN`. As a National Organisation it will be up to us to stand together as a `Family` and to protect each other from the onslaught. As a resource this websites gives us every opportunity to link, make friends and organise.
Here we make the `Demands`. We are not slaves to a government backed subsidy to business, we have a Right to Life under International Law without Conditions; without those essentials of shelter, food and clothing there is no Life. Our message and Our Demands are simple as the full realisation of the dignity of an individual’s life is sacrosanct and any government not honouring this most basic of rights has no legitimacy.
Our Demands
They `Abolition the Contract of Conditions required to receive Benefits`; where the requirement to sign a contract imbues the process of conditionality and is against the voluntarism of claiming a right for a basic need.
They `Abolition all mandatory schemes`; these schemes cannot be interpreted as being of educational/training in nature and again breaks the law on being conditional.
They `Abolish the use of Sanctions`; this most heinous of actions sanctions the use of murder from behind a desk. Denying the individual all rights to the core necessities to Life sacrifices any right to choice and liberty for that individual.
They `Abolition present welfare reforms`; As they collude in the promotion of subsidy for businesses and in
affecting a transfer/outsourcing/privatisation of jurisdiction of civil rights they preclude a fair system of justice and heighten present abuses, discrimination and violence enforced on the individual.
They `Cease all talks with the insurance industry on the Privatisation of the Welfare system`
These demands are propriety and while part of our initials steps to correct the imbalance of power are not set in stone and will only be enacted on the full realisation of group discussion/meetings of a national campaign committee with clear and open representation.
Our Way Ahead
We the unemployed are not Criminals, Deviants or Lazy. We are Unemployed through Party Politics & Poor Governance and through Economic conditions brought about by Bankers/Financiers’ which have repeatedly put us in this position and impoverished us.
This organisation is open to everyone who supports the objectives outlined and is not willing to sit idly by as those core essentials for Life are cut and manipulated. Welfare is a Right; it is not a charitable donation for the upkeep of life and to receive it you have every right; without condition, contempt or discrimination.
Join us; make this website your contact point, a resource for individuals to come together to form groups, a honest voice on the net to make real changes on our streets & in our homes.
