Registering with us as a member should be easy, but the unknown can always happen so if you have trouble please contact us immediately.
When registering for an account with us, please be aware that it is your duty to read the unemployment movement’s website disclaimer. Basically when you join you are agreeing to take responsibility for what you post and we ask you to be respectful of people.
As we are a social networking website as well we will ask you some questions about yourself. How much you say is up to you, but we encourage you to take this as an opportunity to make a statement about yourself. We also ask where you come from; here we do not ask you for your full address but only the county & town so others from the same area may contact you to inform you of any groups that may start up so you can become involved in them.
Where do you start?
The first point of call is to look at the front page where you will see a `Login` panel for members. In this panel is some text to affect registration and by clicking `Create Account` you will be taken to a different page.
On this page it will ask you for your name; it is up to you if you want to divulge it and we avoid using it for your protection.
Next you need to pick a `User Name` by which everyone will know you by which has to be less than 15 words long. We hope you will pick a unique name as trying to enter one that is already registered will not pass and picking a name with any of the derivatives of webmaster, moderator or admin will definitely not pass.
If you have registered on any other website this will be second nature to you and as always a password will be needed. We ask you to make this unique and do not use your user name as a password, saying this is pretty much common-sense but the next step is to make sure no other person is able to use this and ask you not to share your account.
Why can’t I login?
After you completed the questions and entered for registration you will be taken to the front page where you will notice a message saying whether you have been successful or not.
It should be noted that you will not be able to login straight away!
A verification email will be sent to the email address you gave at the start of the process. Once we get confirmation from that email will you be able to login.
For security reasons this process is monitored for spammers and bots that just love social networks and forums to spread their crap. For this reason if you are registered anywhere as a problem your registration could well fail. If you feel this is unfair or you believe a fault has occurred please contact us.
You should be aware that a log of IP addresses is kept for a short time. This will never be revealed to any third party and is kept secure.
During the whole process we use a strong `Encryption` process to avoid hackers intercepting your information.
Is that it?
Yes! We take your security seriously as we want `Real` people communicating within the Unemployment Movement and we hope you will, sometimes this will act against the very people we want to join. If you have any problems registering please contact us immediately and we will put things right. Please remember to give us as much detail as possible as most of the time it could be something simple as using a different email address.
Regards
Admin Team
