I was disgusted to read in Saturdays copy of the Daily Mail (18.2.12) Emma Harrison A4e is estimated to be worth 70 million. In the year march 2011 her Company turnover rose from £190million to £234 million. Pre tax profits by £5.5 million to £15 million. Emma paid herself an INCREDIBLE SHARE DIVIDEND of £ 8.6 million. And Prime minister Cameron has appointed her `Families Champion` charged with getting troubled families back to work, despite her lack lustre performance when the New Labour Government awarded her a contract to run `Pathways To Work` which resulted in only 15% finding employment.
In my opinion whatever the state of a countries economy in the past and the future some individuals & companies will always profit. Just as now, with Emma Harrisons A4e growing from strength to strength off the backs of the unemployed so did Germany’s Third Reich (1933-1945) under Hitler from the backs of the Jews with Companies such as Kodak/ Hugo Boss/ Volkswagen/ Siemens/ Bayer.......etc, using slave labourers. Sad & sadder.

Work Program Provider A4E under Investigation for Alleged Fraud

‘Back to work’ tsar at centre of fraud probe over claims ‘funding went on jobs lasting just a day’.

The company run by David Cameron’s ‘Back to Work Tsar’ Emma Harrison is at the centre of a fraud investigation.

The Department for Work and Pensions confirmed last night that a probe into A4e (Action for Employment) – headed by Mrs Harrison – was under way.

A source at the company told The Mail on Sunday that on Friday afternoon, officers from Thames Valley Police visited the company’s offices in Slough, Berkshire. The source said they stayed for up to four hours and demanded staff hand over documents and computer files dating back two years. He confirmed: ‘Police were in the office on Friday going back over contracts.’

David Cameron is facing demands to suspend his 'back to work' tsar Emma Harrison after police launched a fraud inquiry.

A senior MP will today table a parliamentary question asking if he will block the A4e Company’s contracts.

Fraud probe into 'back to work' programme

A Government-backed work scheme is facing a police investigation over allegations of fraud dating back to 2010.

Chris Grayling, the Work and Pensions Minister, has been informed about the investigation.

Asked about the police probe on Sky's Murnaghan, Mr Grayling said the inquiry dated back two years.

"It would not be possible for our work programme scheme to have a fraud of this kind simply because the providers who work for us aren’t paid until somebody has been in work for six months so you can’t get payment for getting somebody into work for one day," he said.

"The truth is that some of the schemes put in place under the previous government were I think contracted very badly and mismanaged, we tried to learn the lessons from their failure and to put in place schemes that work."

A spokeswoman for Mrs Harrison and A4e said: "Thames Valley Police visited our offices on Friday for a mutually agreed meeting in relation to an allegation of fraud that was identified by a4e’s internal processes and was reported to the authorities by the company.

"The allegation concerns a very small number of former employees and dates back to 2010. As the investigation is on-going, we cannot comment further."

Hope the investigators `leave no stone unturned` in their enquiries to establish fraud at A4e and Emma Harrison is brought to book. I personally attended an A4e on a 13 week mandatory (IAP) `New Deal` programme when New Labour was in Government on Tyneside. Along with a few hundred other jobless, with naive aspirations to be placed on work placements as potential craftsman carpenters/electricians etc., in reality we were sent to town called South Shields to work as forced labourers to excavate an old roman fort site. As A4e were unable to meet their obligations in meeting individual `Action Plans` of the thousands of jobless who attended. Sad and sadder.
